We found Penny living in a chicken coop with her two newborn kids. She had been neglected and was terrified of people. Her kids, Mo and Dozer, had severe respiratory infections but recovered nicely with a lot of TLC and medcations. Fortunately she tested negative for CAE, CL, and Johne’s. After several months in rehab, we were able to get Penny up to a healthy weight and to a point where she would come over for treats and accept some gentle attention.  Once she realized it was OK to trust people, she turned into quite the clown.

Penny has been adopted and is doing great in her new home!
