We have six goats at Horseshoe Farm. Betsy and Buttercup are our nubian dairy goats. They supply the milk I use in my coffee each morning, and the rest gets turned into cheese or goat milk soap. The boys, Mo, Dozer, BamBam, and Gigolo, are in charge of lawn mowing. All of our goats spend their days grazing in our big grassy pasture with access to shade, shelter, fresh water, and lots of love. Betsy and Buttercup are leash-trained and know commands like "let's go" and "hop up". All of our goats are super friendly and love being snuggled and brushed. They're like vegetarian dogs.
The baby goats are spending the afternoons away from their moms to encourage weaning. I feel like such a meanie, but it’s good for them to get used to exploring on their own, and it encourages them to eat more hay and grains, which is going really well. Peabody asks to go out every half hour or so, just to check on them. : ) Such a good babysitter.

Feel free to contact me or fill out an application if you’re interested in one of these babies! They have been vaccinated, disbudded, and moms tested negative for CAE/CL/Johne’s prior to breeding. They are VERY social and friendly.
Betsy and Buttercup delivered their kids on May 1st and May 4th. I’m SO excited to have four healthy, bouncing baby goats here. The kids are getting tons of attention and snuggles, and all four have curious, social personalities. They even did great meeting Peabody…though the mamas weren’t too happy about it. He loves all creatures great and small, and had fun teaching the little ones that dogs are cool.
